About Marilyn Gough
Contemporary Abstract Artist, Cheltenham, England.
Hello, I’m Marilyn Gough a contemporary abstract artist with a passion for colour, movement, and the unexpected. For me, painting is pure freedom: the anticipation of watching pigments flow, collide, and transform into something entirely new while music fills the room. Each canvas begins as an open question, and the thrill lies in not knowing exactly where it will end.
You’ll find me at 13 Suffolk Parade, in the heart of Cheltenham’s artisan quarter – a vibrant hub where I create, curate, and connect. My Studio is both a working studio and an exhibition space.
My medium of choice is fluid and highly pigmented – a language of colour that dances across the canvas. As a brushless artist, I guide the paint through unconventional techniques, allowing it to move with energy and spontaneity. The result? Works that are truly one of a kind: vibrant, expressive, and impossible to replicate.
My paintings have found homes both across the UK and internationally, but the heart of my practice remains here in Cheltenham, where I love meeting collectors, visitors, and those simply curious about contemporary abstract art.
